“I would like to express my gratitude to Stuart Walls (financial planner, referred by Watkins Taylor Stone).

Over 11 years ago I was approached by Stuart to review my insurance options. I had already been in business for 10 years but at the time I was going to expand the business and the future was far from certain. He suggested Crisis Recovery Insurance with the buy back option. He also suggested Disability Insurance with options. I purchased all plans.

8 years on and the business venture was relatively successful and I felt I had no need for the policies anymore. His strong advice was to maintain them because at my age it would be very difficult to get a policy, as good again. That was in early 2008 and I agreed.

In October 2011 I was diagnosed with Laryngeal cancer. I am lucky. This is a non- aggressive cancer, it was caught very early and the likelihood for a full recovery is over 95%. Nevertheless, I contacted Stuart when I received the confirmation that it was a cancer. Within three weeks, the insurance company paid the crisis claim in full. Shortly after they paid a lump sum on the disability insurance too. Stuart facilitated the whole process and it was effortless.
